New Kid� We have all experienced the fear and anticipation of being new to a crowd. The worry, the excitement, the nervousness� The girl you see above answers to the name Katarina. She does not fear what the average person may fear, she's not afraid of being new but being dead. Katarina chose the wrong path at a young age, then when the realization hit her that she can either stay as she is and suffer a fate far worse then can be imagined, or seek help and escape to a better life� It seemed to be too late. She fell into the hands of the "devil" and learned his language and followed his actions. This story is more metaphor then reality. The "devil" she worshipped represents the abuse of drugs, sex, alcohol, and the negative way of life in general. Katarina accustomed herself to this way of life from early on, then as she gained years and wisdom she began loosing loved ones to death and desertion. However, since she was so deep in her addictions and had created so many enemies, she need help in order to put her life back on track. She seeked help and in the ideal world, this help would have worked and her past would be just that - her past. All human beings have chosen the wrong path at one point or another. They've done things they knew they shouldn't have just for the sake of being liked and feeling accepted. Most are able to correct their errors, while others become slaves to it. I feel as though the human race has corrupted themselves to the point where they push themselves and others into bottomless pits of foolishness. We create pain in ourselves and others because we seem to believe we will be well liked and accepted if we do so, but not only are we digging ourselves a hole but we are bringing innocent lives with us. The moral of this theory is to accept all for who they are, as they are, and not who random people created them to be. Love life, people, and most of all yourself and you will be able to overcome your difficulties. |
